Our Mission
The Teddy Bear Club offers an early childhood program that addresses the development of the whole child using a curriculum that includes language arts, science, mathematics, music, art, drama, and movement education. This, along with the incorporation of the “I Am Special” religion lessons, helps us to nurture and mature each child’s skill sets relating to listening, self-control, direction following and task completion. Upon completion of the Teddy Bear Club’s program your child should be familiar with colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and some children’s literature.
Our Philosophy
The warm, gentle, learning atmosphere promoted by the Teddy Bear Club is based off of the principles of Love and Logic by Jim and Charles Fay. Using these guidelines ensures your child’s ability to be engaged through encouragement, curiosity, responsibility, independence, re-direction when needed and clear-cut limits. Each child will have the opportunity to discover who they are in a program that utilizes activities in large and small groups as well as in individual settings. Your child will also be encouraged to choose activities based on their abilities and interests as a way of enhancing their sense of initiative and competence.
